Adding a Vector warp node

The Vector warp node distorts a terrain.

To add a Vector warp node, right-click in the Graph Editor and select Create Node  > Terrain Transformation  > Vector warp or use the keyboard shortcut NTVW (Node Terrain Vector Warp).

This node has three inputs:

  • Input 1: The terrain to modify.
  • Input 2: The terrain that determines the displacement in the X axis at each vertex.
  • Input 3: The terrain that determines the displacement in the Y axis at each vertex.
  •

Select the node to open its parameters:

Editing a Vector warp node

Use the Strength slider or adjust the intensity of the warp.

If the input terrain has a color map, then this color map is modified at the same time as the terrain.

For the terrains used to determine the displacement, a positive height leads to a movement toward the right (in X) or downward (in Y). A negative height leads to a movement to the left (in X) or up (in Y).
